Many Books, One Story
Family guide · A Library That Tells One Story · 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Luke 24:44-47 · about 15 minutes
Big idea: The Bible contains many books and genres that together tell God's connected story.
This study introduces the Bible as a library whose writings participate in one connected story.

Talk about it
- What does Paul say Scripture is useful for?
- Why should genre affect how we read?
This week
Action: Before family Bible reading this week, name the book's genre and ask who is speaking to whom.
Prayer: God, help us read Your word carefully, humbly, and faithfully.
Note for parents: It is acceptable to say that canon history is a later question rather than forcing a quick answer.
