  1. 4 minConnect. Use the opening prompt and invite two or three brief responses.
  2. 4 minContext. Introduce the passage setting, speaker or main characters, and genre in age-appropriate language.
  3. 8 minRead and observe. Read selected parts of Genesis 6:9-22 and 8:1-19, tracking instruction, obedience, waiting, and release. Ask: What problem does Genesis describe before the ark? What repeated actions does Noah take?
  4. 7 minDiscuss. Use a before/during/after chart to show judgment, preservation, and God’s faithful action. Ask: What does “God remembered Noah” mean in the story? What claim should we not make from this story?
