Genesis 3 begins with questioning God’s word and goodness.
Hiding and blame follow the first disobedience.
Genesis 4 shows anger growing into violence after God warns Cain.
The narrative shows a spread: mistrust, choice, damage, denial, and consequence.

Ask:

8 minRead and observe. Read Genesis 3:1-13 and 4:1-16 in sections, recording challenge, choice, warning, action, denial, and consequence. Ask: How does the serpent represent God’s command and motive? What repeated responses appear after wrongdoing?
7 minDiscuss. Build a cause-and-effect grid and mark which entries are explicit text, reasonable inference, and application. Ask: What is explicit in God’s warning to Cain, and what remains interpretive? Where can a destructive chain be interrupted today?
